Job Title: 2nd Line IT Helpdesk Technical Support - Permanent

This exciting role will consist of Service Desk and Fieldwork with flexibility of being office-based or a mix of working from home.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • The role will include working with and therefore requires experience of;
  • MS Office Applications
  • Office 365 Setup, Configuration and Management
  • Backup Technologies
  • Windows 10 and Windows 7
  • VPN configurations and management
  • Virtualisation software such as Hyper-V / VMWare / OnApp
  • Windows Server 2019 / 2016 / 2012
  • Active Directory, DHCP and DNS, TCP / IP
  • Network Infrastructure (Switches, Routers and Firewalls)
  • Good Telephone manner
  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Strong written and communication skills
  • Clean driving license and own car

Having direct experience of working with MSP PSA and RMM platforms such as Autotask, Kaseya, Solarwinds, Auvik, NinjaRMM, ConnectWise, Zendesk or Freshdesk as well experience with Office 365, Azure or AWS is a positive differentiator.

Skills / Attributes Required

  • Key Technical Skills
    • Strong working knowledge of Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, Hyper-V, and other core networking services.
    • A good understanding of Microsoft Exchange, Office365, and how to troubleshoot email flow issues.
    • Good experience of supporting and troubleshooting at desktop and server level.
    • A good understanding of the TCP/IP protocol, and how to configure internet routers and firewalls.
    • A good understanding of server hardware components and RAID array configuration.
    • Experience working with commercial server-based antivirus and backup systems.
    • Any IT certifications held (such as MCSA, MCSE, etc) will be an advantage.

Desirable:

  • Multi-client or MSP environment desired but not essential
  • Ideally, 3+ years’ experience supporting desktop and server environments.

Salary

£20,000 - £24,000 + Bonus

37.5 Hours per week. 9.00am to 5.30pm (1 Hour for Lunch)
